On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Emma Johnson.
Q: Tell us about yourself
A: I am currently a Junior in college and attend Bellarmine University. I am majoring in communications and minoring in marketing. I was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and am one of five kids in my family. I have three brothers and one sister. I currently work at Chick-fil-a and have been there going on five years !
Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC
A: I have attended NAOBC since my sophomore year of high school, which was around six years ago. I have attended the College BFG for about three and half years. I switch between serving with the preschool ministry and the babies on Sunday mornings
Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?
A. I love to run! It’s one of my favorite hobbies and something I do often. I’ve participated in a few races with my Dad and they have made great memories to look back on! 😊
Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?
A: My Mom has made the most impact on my life. I admire and love her so much. I’ve never known a more selfless, loving, caring, beautiful, patient, and encouraging person. I could talk about her forever! She has set such a beautiful example of what it looks like to be a woman of God and she reflects Him in all that she does. I’m so thankful for her and all that she’s done for me and my family. I wish to be half the woman that she is.
Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?
A: Something the Lord has been continuing to teach me over the past year and has been a running theme in my life is to completely surrender to Him and His plan and being content with where He has me. A verse that has encouraged me so much is 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, which states, “ But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” He is sufficient no matter the circumstance.
