On Mondays, we’ll take time to meet the women of NAOBC. Five questions followed by how you can connect with the NAOBC women on social media. Today’s interview is with Heather Devoe.

Q: Tell us about yourself

A: I am an auntie to 6 nieces and 4 nephews. I work for Jefferson County Public School as an Instructional Assistant at DuValle Education Center.

Q: Tell us about your time at NAOBC

A: I have been at NAOBC for 6 years and I serve in the Worship Ministry and Preschool Ministry. I’m in the Ladies’ BFG…they rock!

Q: What is a fun fact that most people wouldn’t know about you?

A: I love to watch Documentaries.

Q: What woman has made the most impact in your life?

A: My Aunt Cookie because she believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Also the ladies in my BFG – they pray for me, they understand me, and most importantly they help to build my relationship with God.

Q: What is something the Lord has taught you in the last year?

A: God does everything for a reason. We must have faith in Him and understand our plans for ourselves is not always God’s Plan for our lives. A verse I’ve looked to in the past year is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
